Hennessy 250 Collector Blend Cognac is a limited-edition cognac that was created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Hennessy. It is a blend of eaux-de-vie aged between 15 and 35 years. The eaux-de-vie were selected by Master Blender Yann Fillioux.
The blend is intended to achieve a balance between power, vivacity, and elegance. It is made up of spirits from four different decades.
Hennessy is a type of brandy, which is a spirit distilled from fermented fruit juice. To be classified as cognac, the grapes used must come from the Cognac area in western France.
Hennessy uses the following cognac grading system:
- V.S: “Very special,” minimum of 2 years
- V.S.O.P: “Very superior old pale,” minimum of 4 years
- X.O: “Extra old,” minimum of 10 years
